Currently, we are undergoing an LGBTQI certification which involves increased knowledge and a process towards an inclusive environment. The goal of the certification is to create a clear structure for work on inclusion and diversity and to signal to the outside world that we take human rights and the equal value of all people seriously. Bygdegården's preschool in Trångsviken has two departments with age-divided groups and close collaboration. The work is based on a holistic view of children and their needs, where care, development, and learning form a whole.

The Department of Children and Education has about 800 employees. The department's operations extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, food and cleaning services, mother tongue education, and library services.

A day as a preschool teacher at Bygdegården's preschool

In your role as a preschool teacher, you, together with the rest of the team, are responsible for planning and conducting the activities to meet the needs of each individual child. Documentation is an important part of our daily reflections and also in the systematic quality work that moves the operations forward and makes learning visible.

In our municipality, you start from the children's interests, needs, and experiences. You plan the learning processes and with a formative approach, you implement, follow up, and evaluate the teaching, anchored in the curriculum. The children's learning is made visible through digital pedagogical documentation, using iPads as working tools. In addition to the systematic quality work, preventive and promoting child health work is carried out in collaboration with our child health teams. The activities are conducted so that learning objects and activities are adapted and varied according to the children's interests, conditions, and needs, so that care, upbringing, and learning form a whole.

All preschools in Krokom municipality work with five common operational goals. As support in your daily work, you have close cooperation with special educators, pedagogical developers, and the principal.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher. You are well acquainted with the national governing documents for preschool activities. If you have training in gender studies, it is an advantage.

You contribute to a good work environment and are a positive and secure leader who meets others with respect and shares your positive energy. We value your ability to communicate, reflect, take responsibility, collaborate, and that through your creativity you are open to new opportunities. We see that you have a good ability to create motivation, maintain good relationships, and foster a good learning environment.

Digital competence and interest in ICT are expected.

We would like you to have a holistic view of children and their needs, where care, development, and learning form a whole. You need to be didactically skilled and place great importance on planning and implementing the content of teaching to support children's development of subject knowledge and various skills in an inspiring way. You should be creative and solution-focused with a salutogenic approach. You always have a child perspective and work to make children's perspectives visible in your teaching.
