Area Manager for SkiStar Guides in Åre

We are now looking for an Area Manager for our SkiStar Guides operation in Åre.

The role of the Area Manager involves overall responsibility for the operations within SkiStar Guides, as well as personnel responsibility for leaders and employees within the area. SkiStar Guides in Åre is a department within the Guest Relations area. During the winter season, a total of approximately 80 seasonal snow sports instructors, guides, and activity leaders work in 4 work groups. During the summer season, about 20 seasonal employees work in 2 work groups. Each work group has its own team leader who will be your closest colleagues.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the daily operations within the area of responsibility.
Lead, administer, and develop the operations within the area of responsibility.
Lead and support directly reporting employees in their daily work.
Optimize and streamline operations towards profitability.
Follow up on the financials and budget of the operations.
Work towards recruiting the right personnel for the department's various positions.
Monitor and proactively work for a good work environment based on SkiStar's policies.

We are looking for someone who is experienced and confident in a leadership role. We believe that you are a person with extensive experience in leadership roles and a great interest in the field. You are meticulous in your work approach, skilled in planning, and can work in a structured manner. You are passionate about mountain experiences, instructing, and interacting with guests. We are looking for someone with a ski instructor certification and preferably experience with mountain biking. You work to create good conditions for the team and the company. You see opportunities and are passionate about development.

Requirements

Previous experience in leadership and a ski instructor certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Ski instructor certification level 4, Swedish Ski/Snowboard Instructor Diploma, and experience working as an instructor in SLAO ski instructor training.
Experience with the WinSkiss, ADA, Mercur, and Office 365 systems.
Cycling instructor certification.
Prior work with high-altitude courses.
Knowledge of SkiStar as a company.
Previous experience in occupational health and safety.
Prior leadership responsibility over other leaders.

The position is a permanent employment with a start date of June 1, 2025, or by agreement. We offer a 6-month probationary period.
