Study and Career Counselor at Östersund Municipality

As a study and career counselor at Östersund Municipality, we work in a stimulating environment with ambitions regarding the school's work with school/society. We ensure that study and career guidance runs as a common thread throughout the elementary school years. A central coordinator/developer is available to assist schools in their work.

Common tasks:

Provide guidance and information individually or in groups, focusing on students with disabilities.
Raise students' awareness of the consequences of different choices and study results for the future.
Contribute to counteracting limitations in students' study and career choices based on gender, social, or cultural background.
Help students identify and formulate goals for studies and work after elementary school.
Assist students in selecting relevant actions to achieve their goals.
Facilitate students' contacts with the working life through internships, study visits, and external information.
Support the staff's study and career-oriented efforts.

In the Lit school district, you will be involved in driving study and career guidance from an early age through elementary school. Helping students find goals and meaning in their studies is important for motivation and preparing them for future study and career choices.

We are looking for you

The Lit school district is looking for a Study and Career Counselor at 50%. We are looking for someone who is educated in the field and has experience, which is a merit. You need to be responsive to the needs of the organization and able to prioritize when conditions change. Building good relationships is essential.

Recruitment process
