IT Infrastructure Project Manager

We are now looking for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager for our client in a critical public service.

Our client has had a management object for several years with systems for electricity preparedness and security, which are continuously developed and maintained. This work is handled by an agile team consisting of members with diverse backgrounds and experiences. They now need to strengthen this group with a person who can support the team as an IT Infrastructure Project Manager. They work with the management model PM3. In the role of IT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will support one of the management objects by leading activities related to the management object's systems and applications.

As an IT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for operationally leading and participating in the management object's activities (management and further development). You will coordinate and lead assignments internally within IT, which requires you to have very good knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, firewalls, etc.). Furthermore, you will continuously monitor timelines and results and communicate progress and support needs. The role also includes conducting investigations related to the operations and management as well as driving and leading changes, such as establishing management for IT systems and applications, reviewing SLA levels, incident and problem investigations, etc. It may also be relevant to work on other development and implementation projects within the division's areas of operation. You will adapt your working methods based on the specific conditions of the assignment and work closely with other roles both within the operational and management organization.

Responsibilities

The work is performed in an agile team where work is planned together with the client and the team regularly.
Examples of responsibilities:

  • Project management of IT infrastructure, leading activities within the management object in consultation with relevant units
  • Support IT management in driving and leading management-related activities, both maintenance and development, concerning the object's systems/applications
  • Work and be responsible for the transition from project to management and drive and contribute to management activities
  • Work and be responsible for establishing management
  • Be responsible for producing relevant management documentation, decision support, etc.
  • Support system owners in operational situations
  • Lead and work on incident and problem investigations
  • Continuously report progress and risks to the IT management leader
  • Business analysis and development as well as change management
  • Contribute to the management plan and budget process

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of work experience in the role of IT Project Manager and/or IT Project Leader, or alternatively IT System Manager
  • At least 5 years of work experience working with IT infrastructure (networks, servers, firewalls, etc.) Important! In your application, you must specify which specific tasks you have/had within IT infrastructure, so that it is clear that you possess knowledge and practical experience (hands-on) in this area.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in incident and problem investigations.

Desirable

  • At least 2 years of work experience within a government agency or public sector
  • At least 2 years of work experience with ITIL related to IT production, management, and/or project activities
  • At least 2 years of work experience in security-sensitive operations involving critical IT systems with high protection class

Location, Scope, and Conditions

Travel may occur domestically. You may be offered to work from your own office to some extent; however, most of the working hours will be based at the office in Sundbyberg.
The assignment is estimated to have a workload of 100% throughout the assignment period.
This is a project employment with NXT Interim Stockholm AB from March 17, 2025, to March 16, 2026. We apply collective agreements.
Security clearance is required for the assignment and is estimated to take about 4 to 7 weeks but may take longer or shorter.
