Systems Security Engineer

Your Role

As a Systems Security Engineer, you will be an important link between the software department and the systems security team. You will actively work in one or more development projects to manage all security-related issues.

In this role, you will work closely with software developers to integrate security aspects throughout the development cycle. You will identify and analyze potential security risks in developing and implementing security solutions, as well as contribute to security policies and processes for software development. A key part of this work is the ability to collaborate and build many internal contacts within the company. We work with both hardware and software, but this role focuses on software.

Your main responsibilities:

• Conduct risk analyses to identify and minimize potential security risks in our products and their software systems.
• Ensure that the project complies with relevant regulations and standards in systems security and meets necessary requirements.
• Continuously document security work to clearly demonstrate that our products meet security requirements.
• Lead systems security work in projects, which means taking responsibility for security aspects from start to finish.

To succeed in this role, you need to communicate effectively with colleagues internally to explain and promote systems security within Systems Engineering and for the development team. You will also participate in requirements and security discussions with external customers to ensure that their needs and standards are met.

The position is based in Järfälla, Stockholm. Travel may be required.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is experienced, engaged, and wants to help develop our systems security solutions. As a systems security engineer, we see it as important that you have a strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both with internal teams and external partners. You need to be meticulous and have an eye for detail. We value a structured and methodical approach as well as the ability to communicate complex security aspects in an understandable way.

Formal Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience working with systems security.
• Experience in programming in languages such as C, C++, Java, ADA.
• In addition to Swedish, you should also have a good command of English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Experience in systems that are real-time critical with high demands on security and reliability, H ProgSäk, Mil-Std-882, H SysSäk, and requirements management are particularly meritorious.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
