Sous Chef with a Love for Italian Cuisine

As a modern trattoria, we play with color and details, flirting with Italian postmodernism. Here, a relaxed atmosphere combines with high-quality flavors and warm, welcoming service.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and support the kitchen team in daily operations, both day and night.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards in terms of taste and presentation.
  • Menu Development: Work closely with the head chef to develop and update the menu, focusing on Italian flavors and creative elements.
  • Planning and Organization: Participate in scheduling and resource planning to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Ingredient Management: Order, receive, and check deliveries of ingredients, ensuring proper storage.
  • Cost Control and Waste Management: Contribute to minimizing waste and keeping costs within budget.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Ensure that HACCP regulations and the kitchen's hygiene and safety standards are followed.
  • Training and Development: Introduce and train new staff in routines, work methods, and kitchen culture.
  • Problem Solving: Handle unexpected situations in the kitchen with calmness and professionalism.
  • Creative Contribution: Provide ideas for campaigns, theme nights, or seasonal menus.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has documented experience as a sous chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant.
  • Is passionate about Italian cuisine and has good knowledge of its ingredients and techniques.
  • Is a confident and inspiring leader who can motivate and develop the kitchen team.
  • Has an eye for detail and never compromises on quality.
  • Is creative and curious, with a desire to contribute new ideas to menus and concepts.
  • Has proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. 
  • Thrives in a dynamic and sometimes intense environment where collaboration and communication are crucial.
  • Has a good understanding of kitchen economics, ingredient management, and hygiene regulations.
