About the job
As a substitute cook, you play an important role in ensuring the operation runs smoothly when a regular cook is absent. The tasks are the usual ones for a preschool kitchen, including preparing lunch, serving snacks, and breakfast. In schools, you will work alongside other cooks or kitchen assistants. You are responsible for handling food safely, conducting self-checks, washing dishes, and keeping the kitchen and equipment clean according to applicable guidelines.

About you
Your knowledge, curiosity, and commitment make a difference. To succeed in this role, it is important that you are good at organizing your own work and are responsive to routines and requests on site. We are looking for someone who has completed a restaurant and food program or equivalent cook training and has at least 6 months of independent experience as a cook in a preschool kitchen. It is important that you have good knowledge of safe food handling according to HACCP and are accustomed to conducting self-checks. You also have very good knowledge of allergens and experience working with commonly encountered special diets. Additionally, you have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
