Are you a psychiatric nurse specialist looking to make a difference for individuals experiencing homelessness? Or do you have another specialist education or basic psychotherapy training? We at Capio Care for the Homeless Pelarbacken are looking for you to join our team!

We operate a specialist clinic for individuals experiencing acute homelessness, offering somatic, psychiatric, and addiction care, as well as dental care referrals. In our interdisciplinary team of over 20 people, we have general practitioners, district nurses, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, care coordinators, foot care specialists, and medical secretaries. We meet patients both at the clinic and at emergency shelters, day activities for the homeless, public places, etc.

For us, person-centered care is a given, and we work from a holistic perspective. A good reception is especially important to us as it helps us build trust and meet each patient based on their individual needs.

We are located near Medborgarplatsen in Södermalm with good communication links and are open on weekdays without weekends. We are co-located with the Unit for the Homeless, the Citizen's Office for the Homeless, and the City of Stockholm's outreach team. In Vårberg, we have a care department with a somatic focus.

Your role

As a nurse, you have a central role in the operation. The tasks are varied and include assessments, psychiatric and somatic care, medication management and follow-up, sampling, motivational and supportive conversations. You treat, follow up, and provide advice. Coordination of efforts and collaboration with social services and healthcare neighbors is also an important part of the work. You will work both independently and together with other colleagues both at the clinic and out at emergency shelters and other locations.

About you

You are a licensed nurse and feel secure in your professional role. You have specialist training in psychiatry. Other specialist training may also be advantageous. You have an interest in and experience working with individuals with comorbidity and complex needs. Experience in somatic care is a plus. You need to be flexible and enjoy developing and adapting your working methods to suit our specific target group. In your work, you will meet many patients with complex care needs, so it is important that you are attentive, empathetic, and a good listener.

You have a good ability to structure and prioritize your work and a holistic view with the patient's needs in focus. You enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and other contacts. Additionally, you naturally need to have an interest in, and preferably experience with, working with vulnerable individuals. You have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements: B driver's license and driving experience

Duration/Working hours

Full-time or part-time. Permanent employment. We apply a six-month probationary period. We work weekdays during the day without weekends. We have operations at least one evening per week, and you are expected to work evenings regularly. Start date according to agreement.
