Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each customer is unique, and your tasks vary based on the customer's needs. You respect the customer's self-determination and integrity and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

We are looking for a person who wants to contribute to a safe and well-functioning everyday life for a man living in central Gothenburg. He is social, active, and has a great interest in cars and books, among other things. Spending time with his son, looking at cars, strolling around car dealerships, and just having a good time together are things he appreciates the most.

Our customer lives with a progressive illness and needs support in most daily activities. To thrive in the role, you need to be present, social, and have a positive and warm attitude. The customer appreciates both lively conversations and calmer moments – the important thing is that you can sense and adapt to the situation. Furthermore, it is important that you are not allergic to dogs as there may be four-legged visitors, and that you are comfortable working in an environment where smoking occurs.

We are now looking for you who fit the following:

• want to work with a man in his 65s living in Lindholmen, Gothenburg
• have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• can work in an environment where smoking occurs
• can work in an environment where dogs are present

It is also meritorious if you:

• have previous experience in healthcare
• have previous experience with progressive muscle diseases
• share the customer's interests

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the position is approximately 20%. The work shifts are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It is possible to split the position between two people, which in such cases means working every other weekend.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are made according to collective agreements.

Start date

September 13 or according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
