The Service Administration, food and cleaning offers an independent and varied job in kitchen and cleaning where you can work in different workplaces and develop. If you work with kitchen and cleaning in Varberg Municipality, you are in an organization where we put service and the customer at the center. In the role of chef, your tasks include preparing and serving good and nutritious meals. In our kitchens, you cook from scratch, have seasonal menus, and actively work to reduce food waste. It should be fun to go to work, and we are looking for someone who can bring joy and has the will to do a good job!

Vidhögeskolan is a F-9 school with after-school activities. The school prepares about 900 portions including deliveries to preschools and schools in the local area.

We are now looking for a chef for Food and Cleaning with placement in Vidhögeskolan's kitchen for approximately 1.5 years.

After that, the placement will transition to another operation within Food and Cleaning. Work within the entire weekend service and Food and Cleaning may occur.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities include, among other things:

• Cooking from scratch
• Preparing special diets
• Testing new working methods, products, and recipes
• Self-control for the kitchen
• Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen
• Orders via digital e-commerce

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is positive, has an extraordinary sense of service and responsibility, and enjoys working with people. You are a driven person who is solution-focused and contributes with innovative thinking and inspiration. You have a genuine interest in food and a great passion for cooking from scratch with the customer in focus. You should be able to collaborate easily with others and not be afraid to contact guests, staff, and other customers as you are our face to the outside world. You need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing since reading and following recipes, routines, and instructions as well as communicating with colleagues, orderers, and diners are part of the assignment.

We see that you have some relevant education or experience in the field such as:

• Culinary education with the ability to handle special diets
• You should have many years of experience in the culinary profession
• Good computer skills are required as we work with electronic commerce and food data programs
• HACCP training
• Driving license B

You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and share our values where equality and diversity perspectives are natural parts.
