Assistera Skandinavien AB is a family-run company that offers personal assistance to individuals with disabilities who have been granted personal assistance under the Act on Support and Service (LSS). We are a smaller company with extensive experience that recognizes the importance of everyone in the operation – users of assistance, relatives, and assistants alike. To provide good assistance, it is essential that all parties are satisfied and comfortable; our job is to ensure that this is the case for you.

We are now looking for personal assistants for need-based employment and summer substitutes for some of our users, with the possibility of employment on a schedule (working hours vary between schedules).

Personal Qualities

It is very important that you master the Swedish language both in writing and speaking in a way that allows you to communicate with the user of assistance, colleagues, and possibly healthcare personnel without misunderstandings arising.

Important qualities in the role of personal assistant include being meticulous, responsible, and proactive in finding solutions. Sometimes you may need to read the user's needs and wishes without them being explicitly stated, so being attentive and understanding of their needs is highly prioritized.

You are calm and empathetic, see opportunities, and are skilled at encouraging and motivating the user of assistance to engage in various activities when needed. When stressful situations arise, it is important that you remain stable and controlled. You have a positive attitude towards your work and can communicate clearly.

Job Responsibilities

During your workday, you will assist the user of assistance with everything they cannot manage on their own, based on the approved support. You will help with transfers and support them in all activities, from household tasks to assistance with personal hygiene. The support provided is based on the user's needs and wishes. Furthermore, some users may need support in communication and in collaboration with their network. The job also includes documentation, reporting incidents and deviations, and for some users, performing delegated tasks (e.g., delegation and self-care).

In the role of personal assistant, your workplace is wherever the user of assistance is located. This can be in their home or during various activities outside the home.

Other

A driving license (B) is an advantage and a requirement for some users.

Working hours vary between users, but needs are generally scheduled for days, evenings, nights (waiting time, former on-call time, may occur), and weekends.

Selection and appointment of positions occur continuously.
