Our consultants at AFRY Nuclear drive projects and carry out assignments in several technical areas; mechanical/process, electrical/automation, construction, and industry-specific areas such as reactor safety and radioactive waste. We are now looking for a colleague for the role of technical project manager for consulting assignments in the nuclear power industry. In this role, you will enter early in the chain and lead various technical projects in the nuclear field from start to finish. The size and content of the projects may vary, ranging from technical maintenance to decommissioning and modernization projects. You will ensure that the projects adhere to time and budget constraints and that all projects comply with the strict regulations and safety requirements within the nuclear power industry. You will also work with, among other things, preparation materials, needs analyses, bid reviews, feasibility studies, and investigations prior to projects.

Our section offers you exciting tasks in a very pleasant and knowledgeable team, and together with support from experienced colleagues, you will have good opportunities to develop as a technical project manager. As a consultant in this area, you will primarily work on assignments at the client’s site, which means that travel will be a natural part of the job. There is some possibility for remote work depending on the tasks.

Qualifications

Since we operate in a customer-oriented business with many different contact points, we are looking for someone with good communication skills who is motivated to create and maintain many good relationships with both clients and colleagues. You are not afraid to establish new contacts to drive the work forward and assist in whatever way is needed for the team to perform.

Since you will often be working on parallel assignments, it is also important that you have the ability to work in a structured manner and quickly absorb new knowledge. You have a flexible approach that allows you to easily adapt to new circumstances and see opportunities in change. This is to manage your projects in the best way possible, both for yourself and your clients.

Furthermore, we see that you have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant post-secondary education
• Previous experience working in project form within the technical industry
• Operational/practical experience from nuclear power plants
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, as both languages are frequently used within AFRY and with our clients
• Driving license B, as travel is a natural part of the role

We consider the following as merits:

• Previous work experience as a project manager, assignment leader, or sub-project manager within the technical industry
• Experience or education in interdisciplinary fields, e.g., in mechanics, mechatronics, chemistry, engineering physics, construction, or related areas

Since the position operates in security-classified areas, you will undergo drug testing and security clearance before employment can commence. To work in security-classified areas like this, Swedish citizenship is required.
