The Care and Welfare Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in Mölndal municipality and encompasses elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who want to work as a summer substitute within the Care and Welfare Administration. You will have the opportunity for an exciting job with variety in one of our units. As a substitute this summer, you will have the chance to work on a fixed schedule during the holiday period.

You have a genuine interest in people, providing service, and creating security and joy for the elderly with dementia or somatic illnesses. You start from each individual's needs and conditions and have the ability to prioritize your tasks. Around you, you have a fantastic team of colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and the responsible unit manager for the residence.

A job in elderly care means that you, together with other staff, provide support, care, and assistance to the care recipients. It may also involve helping with daily life and various social activities. The interventions are individually planned, and you will utilize your ability to be flexible, collaborate, and take responsibility.

You will work on scheduled hours during the day, evening, or night, weekdays as well as weekends, with varying employment levels around 75-90%.

QUALIFICATIONS

To work as a summer substitute with us in elderly care, you need:

• A valid criminal record check
• To understand, speak, read, and write Swedish
• Basic digital skills
• To be at least 18 years old

It is an advantage if you have studied the Care and Welfare program or another education deemed equivalent. Experience in care and welfare work is also an advantage.

Personally, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You listen to other people to understand their needs and have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. Finally, you take responsibility for your and shared tasks with the best interests of the users in focus.
