Your new role

We are now looking for an experienced buyer for a consulting assignment with our client in Linköping. In this role, you will work closely with production, focusing on machined articles. The assignment starts as a parental leave cover in the autumn, with a very good opportunity for extension – and in the long run, also a direct employment for the right person.

As a buyer for our client, you will be responsible for the entire purchasing process – from needs analysis and order placement to delivery follow-up and supplier dialogue. You will work closely with internal functions such as production planning, material planning, development, and project management.

Your tasks:

• Operational purchasing within the segment of machined articles
• Order placement and follow-up of deliveries
• Contact and relationship building with suppliers, both nationally and internationally
• Ensuring material availability in line with production plans
• Close collaboration with production and material planning as well as development and projects
• Contribute to improvement work within purchasing processes and supplier strategy.

To be successful in this role, you need:

• At least 3 years of experience in operational purchasing, preferably from the manufacturing industry
• Experience working in purchasing systems
• Experience with supplier contacts both in Sweden and internationally
• Fluent Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
• Swedish citizenship (due to ITAR regulations)
• Desirable: Good understanding of machined components

Who are you?

You will be part of a smaller, experienced purchasing team where each member has their own area of responsibility. The group works in a low-key and collaborative environment, which means that the right person for the role should have a balanced and professional communication style – rather than an overly outgoing or sales-oriented approach.

The role requires you to be self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented with a good ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Work model: On-site with the client, 100% onsite. Start: 2025-08-25 End: 2025-12-31, with good opportunities for extension.
