Strategic Buyer – Consulting Assignment in the Manufacturing Industry

We are now looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer for an exciting consulting assignment with a leading player in the manufacturing industry. The role is suitable for you who want to take overall commercial responsibility while contributing to both cost efficiency and long-term supplier development.

As a consultant, you will have a central and business-critical position in the client's purchasing organization. You will, among other things:

- Be responsible for selected suppliers and ensure that agreements and KPIs are followed. - Drive commercial activities in projects and programs. - Continuously evaluate the market and optimize the supplier portfolio. - Prepare request for proposals, analyze bids, conduct negotiations, and place purchase orders. - Lead cross-functional teams focusing on improvements and more efficient processes. - Ensure that purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures are followed.

The role involves many internal and external contacts, as well as travel within Sweden in connection with supplier visits and evaluations.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

- 3–7 years of experience in strategic purchasing. - Preferably a background in the manufacturing industry. - Documented experience in negotiation and supplier development. - Good system proficiency in ERP, purchasing systems, and Excel. - Ability to work in a structured manner, quickly understand new processes, and collaborate effectively.

-Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week on-site in Linköping) - Assignment Period: December 1, 2025 – November 30, 2026 - Extension: Possibility exists - Travel: Occurs in Sweden related to supplier evaluations
