About the Role

In the consultant role as a Strategic Purchaser, you are a key player in our assignments – where you drive purchasing strategies, build strong supplier relationships, and lead internal purchasing teams towards smart, sustainable, and cost-effective decisions. You will be responsible for one or more categories and help influence both business decisions and the development of work methods.

The assignments often involve:

• Strategic responsibility for supplier relationships

• Participation in or leading negotiations and contract writing

• Purchasing in close collaboration with sales and design organizations

• Development of work methods and tools to meet a growing market

• Representing purchasing in cross-functional teams

With our clients, decision-making paths are short and collaboration is tight, giving you significant influence and the opportunity to see concrete results from your work.

As a consultant, you are employed by Nexer and have your home office with us in Linköping, where the door is always open for you regardless of the assignment's location.

Who We Are Looking For

We believe you are analytical, self-driven, and have a knack for creating structure. You are a natural relationship builder who enjoys collaborating but also taking your own initiatives. We place great importance on your personal qualities and your willingness to contribute.

We would like you to have:

• At least 5 years of experience in strategic purchasing

• Good negotiation skills and experience in contract management

• Previous work in an international environment, preferably with both purchasing and logistics

• Good business English and fluent Swedish in both spoken and written form

• The ability to build and maintain relationships, both internally and externally

• Relevant post-secondary education, such as in engineering or industrial economics

Meritorious:

• Experience in the defense or industrial sector

• Previous work with category management or sourcing strategies

• Familiarity with systems such as IFS or similar business systems
