Now Hiring: Head Waiter at Salt & Sill

Salt & Sill is Sweden's first floating hotel and one of the West Coast's most beloved archipelago restaurants. On the old herring island of Klädesholmen outside Tjörn, we offer our guests unforgettable culinary experiences, waterfront accommodation, and conferences in a unique environment – right by the dock.

We are now looking for a head waiter who wants to join our team from August onwards. The position can be adapted to a seasonal employment or a full-time position – as agreed.

About the Role

As a head waiter, you are a key person in the daily operations and play a central role in creating a warm, professional, and memorable experience for our guests. You lead the service staff on-site, coordinate between the kitchen and dining room, and are an important support for both guests and colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and leading the daily work in the dining room

• Ensuring a high level of service and a personal approach

• Introducing and supporting new staff

• Contributing to the development of routines, service, and guest experience together with the restaurant manager

• Managing table bookings and staffing

• Being a role model in hospitality, communication, and joy at work

Who Are You?

• You have experience as a head waiter or in a leading service role

• You enjoy leading others and are confident in your communication

• You have a passion for food, drinks, and hospitality

• You are solution-oriented, responsible, and pay attention to the details that create the whole

• You speak Swedish and English fluently

• You have good computer skills and experience with reservation systems

• You have good wine knowledge and are used to working with drink pairings

Working Hours and Employment

The position starts in August 2025, with the possibility of seasonal employment or a full-time position as agreed. Working hours are scheduled for both weekdays and weekends, mainly in the evenings. Staff accommodation is available if needed.
