You will be responsible for the technical execution of a domain migration from an existing Active Directory environment to a new domain structure. The goal is to change the primary DNS name and establish a new AD forest without downtime, in an environment with integrated services including Google Cloud Platform.

The role involves hands-on work with migrating users, computers, and service accounts, as well as technical adjustments of DNS, GPO, identity services, and integrations. The specialist will also be responsible for testing, tool usage, troubleshooting, and documentation of the changes.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Perform configuration, testing, and migration of objects from source domain to target domain using tools such as ADMT, PowerShell, and possibly ForensiT for profile migration.
• Establish and verify domain trusts, SIDHistory, and DNS forwarders
• Implement GPO transfer and adaptation from old to new domain structure
• Prepare and execute batch migration of users and computers in different regions
• Collaborate with the architect on environment design, risk reduction, and recovery plans
• Identify and manage domain dependencies in applications and services
• Work according to runbooks and checklists for safe migration without impact on production
• Document technical actions, configuration changes, and migration outcomes
• Participate in daily technical syncs and contribute with status and incident reporting

Experience & Competence:

• At least 5 years of experience working with Active Directory environments (AD DS, DNS, FSMO, GPO)
• Experience with domain migrations, preferably inter-forest (including SIDHistory)
• Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting
• Practical experience with ADMT or equivalent tools
• Understanding of infrastructure components such as DHCP, DNS, DFS, certificates (PKI)
• Good understanding of certificate and authentication models (Kerberos, NTLM, ADFS)
• Practical experience in reading logs and analyzing issues in logs, Event Viewer, and AD Replication
• Swedish: fluent

Preferred:

• Experience with LAPS or Hybrid AD integrations
• Familiarity with Google Cloud IAM
• Experience from global organizations with multiple AD Sites and large-scale GPO management

Personal Attributes:

• Meticulous, structured, and accustomed to working according to templates and processes
• Good communication skills, especially in technical collaboration with architects and other specialists
• Responsible - delivers according to plan and manages deviations proactively
• Comfortable documenting work and communicating technical status

Project Structure:

• The work is led by a senior IT architect with overall responsibility for design, planning, dependency management, and communication
• The specialist works independently within given frameworks and is responsible for technology, tools, and migration execution according to plan

Assignment Duration:

• Project employment or consultancy assignment for approximately 6 months
• Start: As soon as possible
• Scope: Full-time
