About the job

We are now looking for an activity coordinator for the Day Activity Center at Skogslyckan in Uddevalla.

If you want to contribute to an increased quality of life for our elderly and ensure that our users have a safe and meaningful everyday life, you are the one we are looking for.

At Skogslyckan's care and nursing home, there are 96 residents with various interests and needs, and the residence is close to both nature and Uddevalla city center.

Job Responsibilities

With us, you will be offered an independent and varied assignment where you will be involved in shaping the role of activity coordinator.

As an activity coordinator, you contribute in various ways to creating security and stimulation for our residents. You are responsible for initiating, planning, and implementing various activities that are well adapted to the needs and wishes of the target group at both individual and group levels.

In your work as an activity coordinator, you will closely collaborate with other activity coordinators and other staff at the residence. The work also includes initiating, planning, and implementing various activities at nearby secure housing and maintaining contact with other operations and external actors that may be relevant for carrying out different activities. The position also includes care work. You will work 75% as an activity coordinator and 25% as a nursing assistant with shifts every other weekend.

Who are we looking for?

As a person, you are proactive, action-oriented, and have the ability to inspire and engage others. You have the ability to positively and meaningfully stimulate and activate the individuals who come to the operation. The work requires a great ability to work independently but also the ability to collaborate with various partners. You should be professional in your role and have the ability to be flexible and service-oriented. You have innovative thinking that can be translated into practice and lead to results. If you are also creative and positive, you will succeed particularly well in this role.

Qualifications

You should have:

• Approved grades from training in the nursing program as a nursing assistant and be able to provide proof of protected professional title as a nursing assistant.
• A valid B driver's license and the ability to drive a vehicle - car/minibus, e.g., for excursions.
• Proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Uddevalla municipality applies language assessment when hiring staff who work closely with users.

It is an advantage if you have experience working as an activity coordinator/elderly educator. Experience in similar work within elderly care is a merit.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Additional Information

For positions where a license/valid proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title is required, this must be submitted before employment.

Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can be considered.
