Assistant Nurse at the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology (CFOG)

The Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology (CFOG), Västerbotten is a regional organization that includes and collaborates with the three hospitals in the county.

CFOG in Umeå consists of specialist maternal care, delivery, maternity ward, home care, gynecological outpatient clinic, gynecological surgery, tumor surgery, and robotic surgery. The mission includes basic healthcare, normal pregnancy, delivery, and fetal diagnostics within its own healthcare area. The unit in Umeå is also the center for prematurity from week 22 and tumor surgery for the entire northern healthcare region.

Within CFOG, midwives, nurses, doctors, social workers, physiotherapists, and administrative staff collaborate around the patient. We work for a good reception towards both patients and colleagues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an assistant nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

You work professionally and put the patient in focus. The assistant nurse's work involves addressing patients' specific care needs. You participate in outpatient work by assisting doctors and midwives during gynecological examinations. You assist and set up for outpatient surgeries. You can independently take blood samples and follow instructions.

The role of assistant nurse also requires your ability to independently perform the tasks you are responsible for.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a certified assistant nurse education. Since assistant nurse is a protected title as of July 1, 2023, you need to present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

Experience in maternity care and gynecological care and outpatient surgery is a requirement. It is also advantageous if you have several years in the profession.

You have good judgment, pronounced teamwork ability, and flexibility in your professional role.
