Psychiatric Clinic

The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric wards, forensic psychiatric services, and several specialized outpatient and treatment units. The Psychiatric Clinic works for equitable care for all and nursing based on research and clinical experience. The Psychiatric Clinic has moved to a newly built facility where the care environment reflects the importance of the care environment in promoting health. The living and working environment is supported by modern technology and research, which is evident in the lighting and communication systems. The clinic is climate-smart through self-sufficiency in electricity and heating.

We are now looking for a Psychologist

The Neuropsychiatric Reception is a unit that assesses and treats individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities. At the reception, we provide care to patients who need extensive interventions and coordination with municipal resources, habilitation, inpatient care, and primary care for both patients who only require annual visits and prescription renewals.

The reception has three main teams: the ADHD team, the NPF team, and the assessment team. As a psychologist at the reception, you will have varied tasks and primarily work in one of the teams. We work in interdisciplinary teams and collaborate beyond team boundaries where needed. The Neuropsychiatric Reception is a workplace where development work is done to create a pleasant working environment with clear routines and treatment lines for the target group with neuropsychiatric disabilities. You will be offered internal training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a psychologist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. The work involves assessment, treatment, and evaluation, alongside contributing your professional expertise in consultation with other professions.

Depending on the role you receive at the reception, your working hours may be distributed differently among the above tasks, and this may also change over time. Therefore, you should be prepared to work with all parts even if you have a particular area in which you consider yourself especially competent.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in psychology with completed PTP is required.

Psychological assessment methodology, neuropsychiatric assessments, and differential diagnosis. Experience working with the target group is an advantage.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.

OTHER

Due to the law on suitability checks, a criminal record extract must be presented upon employment.
