About the Role:

As a shift-based Service Desk Technician, you will have a central role in GlobalConnect's daily operations. Here, you work in the heart of our network operations – literally – ensuring that our largest customers in the Carrier and hyperscale sectors always have access to stable and fast service. You troubleshoot, support, and document often under time pressure and become an important part of keeping our services available.

Together with colleagues in the Service Desk, you handle both large and small cases, whether it involves responding to an incoming alarm, resolving a technical incident, or forwarding a case to the right person. You will often have help from a colleague during shifts, but there may be times when you work alone.

What You Will Do:

  • Support customers, colleagues, and subcontractors via the ticketing system
  • Resolve customer incidents during alarms or outages
  • Troubleshoot, manage escalations, and dispatch cases for even workload distribution
  • Document and produce reports (RFO/RCA) during major outages
  • Contribute to improving routines and processes in the Service Desk

The Service Desk is located in Stockholm at Solnavägen 3H, in bright and modern premises. We work shifts, which means varying times and work environments. The shifts are as follows:

  • Blue: 06:45–15:15 (on-site)
  • Red: 15:00–23:00 (can be performed remotely according to our current rule)
  • Green: 22:45–07:00 (can be performed remotely according to our current rule)

The position means that you mostly work together with a colleague during the shift – but there may be times when you work alone.

To thrive in the role, we believe you have:

  • Education in networking and telecommunications – a university degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer support, helpdesk, or internal IT
  • Fluent Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
  • Knowledge from Cisco courses (e.g., CCNA or higher) is a plus
