Junior Backend Developer for Major Client in Södertälje

Do you want to work closely with a real product, where your code is actually used on the workshop floor around the world? We are now looking for a recent graduate backend developer to join an experienced and business-critical team at our major client in Södertälje.

The team belongs to the aftermarket and works with the application used for troubleshooting trucks at workshops globally. Here, the platform is built and maintained to ensure that the right data, fault codes, and instructions are available – in the right language, in the right system, at the right time.

This is a long-term investment where you, as a recent graduate, will grow into the role with the support of very senior expertise.

About the Role

You will join a backend team responsible for the platform behind the application used for troubleshooting and repairing trucks. The work largely involves data, integrations, and scripting – and ensuring that information from different systems connects all the way to the user.

Examples of Responsibilities:

Backend development focusing on scripting
Writing, debugging, and maintaining scripts that test built code
Working with uploading and downloading code in AVS
Understanding and managing basic principles of Node.js-based scripting
Working with integrations between central systems
Ensuring that data, fault codes, and instructions are presented correctly in the application
Participating in tests in a rig environment

The role has previously been senior but is now being adapted for a recent graduate. You will have time to learn, test, and develop – with clear guidance.

The work is based in Södertälje with on-site presence three days a week.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you need to have:

A university degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or similar
Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
Basic understanding of Node.js
Familiarity with AVS
Very good English in both spoken and written form
Passed background check

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of DevOps
Experience with agile methods and Scrum
Swedish in spoken and written form

It is also highly meritorious if you have worked with similar technology in your thesis or projects.

You will be part of a team consisting of both senior and more junior profiles.
