Are you passionate about data, analytics, and models that make a real difference? Now you have the chance to take on a brand new role at Keolis, where your work will contribute to a more sustainable, optimized, and intelligent public transport system for the future. We are looking for someone who not only loves numbers and code but is also curious about the business and wants to help shape how we as a company work with data in practice.
About the role
This is a new role in the organization, which means that you will not only have the opportunity to influence Keolis' journey towards a more data-driven approach but also have the freedom to explore and shape your own path forward. As a Data Scientist with us, you will work closely with the business to identify opportunities where predictive and prescriptive analytics can improve our processes, from traffic planning and bidding to vehicle maintenance. You will take a holistic approach: from needs identification and model building to visualization and implementation in our analytics platform in Databricks.
Examples of areas you may work on:
- Optimize bidding calculations using smart models.
- Predict and prevent maintenance needs in our vehicle fleet.
- Identify improvement potential in traffic execution and timetables.
- Work with large datasets in PySpark or Pandas.
You will be part of a growing team where we value freedom with responsibility, innovation, and close collaboration between technology and business.
Who are you?
We believe you are analytical, curious, and self-driven: someone who is passionate about using data to solve real-world problems. You thrive in an environment where you can take responsibility, think strategically, and help build something from the ground up.
We would like you to have:
- Experience in driving projects from start to finish – from understanding needs to delivering solutions.
- Good knowledge of Python, SQL, and one of: PySpark, TensorFlow, SciPy, or similar.
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud solutions.
- Understanding of regression analysis, statistical analysis, and other mathematical methods.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
If you have also worked in Databricks or in industries where data science is applied in production, that is a plus.
What do we offer?
- An experienced and dynamic team where you have great room to influence.
- Development opportunities and career growth – We invest in our staff and create conditions for skill development and career paths within the company.
- An inclusive workplace – Keolis was a finalist in the Inclusion Awards, an award that honors actors who promote diversity, equality, and inclusion.
- International perspectives – as part of a global company, there is an opportunity for international collaboration.
- Flexibility and trust – you have significant responsibility to plan your own work.
Application
You apply by submitting your CV. A cover letter is not needed. In the selection process, we use psychological tests from Alva Labs. The position may be filled before the application deadline. Interviews will begin at the end of August for this role.
Please note that the position may be subject to a background check. This will be conducted at the end of the recruitment process after your approval.
