Job Description We are looking for a self-driven and knowledgeable Data Protection Officer (DPO) for a part-time assignment with a banking actor in Stockholm. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise in GDPR and data protection, both in specific incident management as well as a supportive function for the rest of the organization. You will serve as a support resource during the summer period and step in to monitor and handle issues related to GDPR, incidents, and data protection matters. The assignment is for the summer, with the possibility of extension into the fall. The work is part-time as ongoing and continuous monitoring of new incidents needs to continue even during the summer period. You will be based in the central office in Stockholm and will have colleagues based in other locations, making your own drive and initiative for communication an important success factor. You will have support from the regular DPO and compliance for specific questions throughout the assignment.  Your tasks will primarily involve:

• Assessment and documentation of personal data incidents
• Possible reporting of incidents to supervisory authorities
• Internal advice on GDPR issues

You may also handle: 

• Review and development of the bank's template for conducting DPIA (data protection impact assessment)
• Control of the bank's processing register
• Support in data protection-related projects
• Ongoing advice on data protection and information security

Qualifications and Characteristics For the role, we are looking for someone with good competence and understanding of the field, preferably with previous experience as a DPO and good insight into GDPR, privacy protection, and data protection. Experience in banking operations is particularly meritorious but not a requirement. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. As an advisory party within the company, you are both communicative and service-minded. 

The consulting assignment is part-time, and you will plan your time in consultation with the client. We estimate that the working hours may correspond to about 1-2 days of work per week sporadically during the summer, with a chance for extension into the fall. 

As a consultant, you will go on assignment with our client and assist them during a project, a time-limited need, or when they need extra expertise for any other reason. You will have the opportunity to contribute your experiences while also developing and broadening your own skills from various workplaces. Our consulting assignments can be both longer and shorter, and sometimes there is also the possibility of being over-recruited to the client company.
