System Engineer with Interest in Technical Systems and Project Management

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will work towards the goal of ensuring material turnover and expansion within the Defense Telecommunications Network. You have overall responsibility for leading and participating in these strategically important missions, where both your technical competence and ability to coordinate various stakeholders play a central role.

Your tasks include leading expansion packages and sub-projects in close collaboration with the Armed Forces and industry partners. You will also actively participate in technical system work related to complex products within the technology area, where you contribute your expertise to ensure that the systems meet the operational needs. An important part of the work is to contribute to the design of the overall requirements for the technical system, which requires both analytical skills and a good understanding of the whole.

The role involves a combination of leadership, technical work, and collaboration, where you will have the opportunity to influence and develop key functions within a critical area.

The position is located in Stockholm or Arboga. Working at heights in Mast & Tower is required. Training for climbing in masts is provided by FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration).

Travel in the position is common for meetings as well as for site visits.

We are looking for you who

We are looking for someone educated as a civil or university engineer, or have equivalent competence that we assess as comparable.

You have experience in the telecommunications field and have previously worked on projects where you contributed your technical expertise. It is an advantage if you have experience participating in technical system work and working with system design.

Your knowledge of telecommunications, its technical solutions and tactical applications, as well as how these integrate with surrounding systems, is crucial for you to meet the demands of the role.

You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and also have good knowledge of English, which allows you to navigate both national and international contexts with ease. To succeed in the role, you also need to have a valid B driver's license.

Your ability to collaborate allows you to build trusting relationships and work effectively with others. At the same time, you are self-driven and take responsibility for driving your work forward, even in complex situations. Your structured approach allows you to plan and prioritize, and your good judgment contributes to well-founded decisions even in pressured situations. Finally, you have a strong problem-solving analytical ability, which enables you to identify challenges and find effective solutions.

The Network Department within the Command Systems Business Area is responsible for the production, delivery, and maintenance of networks for the Armed Forces. The Defense Telecommunications Network (FTN) is nationwide with very high demands on availability and security. The goal of this operation is to ensure effective and economical optimization of how the material is procured and assembled into complex systems that meet the high demands for availability and security, at all levels of preparedness.
