We are now looking for a Technician for the Mechanical Maintenance unit at Ringhals.

About the Job

Mechanical maintenance at Ringhals consists of two operational maintenance groups that plan and perform maintenance activities within mechanical maintenance. The groups consist of Planning Engineers, Team Leaders, and Technicians and have execution responsibility for preventive (FU) and corrective maintenance (AU) on mechanical components and systems. The responsibility also includes the tools, equipment, and workshops required to maintain and develop the operations. The groups work to ensure the operational reliability of mechanical equipment and that it meets the established requirements. This, together with a constant focus on personnel and plant safety, is our main priority.

The two maintenance groups, which together consist of about 30 colleagues, are undergoing a rejuvenation process, and therefore, competence exchange and experience feedback are important in the goal work currently being conducted. Mechanical maintenance has a comprehensive operation that spans several technical areas, so there are good opportunities to both broaden and deepen your technical skills.

Your Responsibilities

As a Technician, you are a crucial part of maintaining the facility to ensure the desired operational reliability. As a technician, you will work with:

• Performing maintenance actions on mechanical components, such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, ventilation equipment, and diesel engines
• Participating in analysis and troubleshooting
• Developing maintenance aids
• Initiating and improving instructions and guidelines
• Working administratively in the form of reporting in our maintenance systems
• During certain periods, managing your own and hired personnel

The work is based on good communication and collaboration. During our maintenance outages, there may be periods of higher workload.

Requirements

We prefer that you have:

• Completed High School education with a focus on technology, vehicles, or industry
• Several years of experience in mechanical maintenance work
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as proficiency in English
• EFNMS certified maintenance technician is an advantage

A fundamental building block in effective maintenance is working with continuous improvements, so a creative mind and new thinking to enhance our operations are appreciated. The way forward is not always obvious, which is an advantage if you are solution-oriented and proactive. As a person, you are responsible, plan and initiate your work forward, and always prioritize safety. The work requires close collaboration, both internally within the group and with supporting functions. Therefore, we value that you are a team player who contributes to a good group climate.
