Responsibilities

As a mechanical engineer at Head Energy, you play a crucial role in driving society forward, both in product development and the industry's green transition!

You will have the opportunity to work on high-tech development projects. The projects are in our business areas of Energy, Industry/Product Development, and Process. This means that as a designer, you will have the opportunity to work on product and machine design with a focus on technically efficient solutions. The work takes place either with our clients or in our in-house projects, which creates great opportunities for personal experiential development. Depending on your background, you may work with leading product development companies and/or machinery and automation-related companies.

Projects may involve new developments or product and machine updates. In many cases, you will also have the opportunity to be involved from start to finish and witness the product/system being commissioned and put into production.
As a mechanical designer, you will, among other things, work with:

  • Mechanical design of products, machinery, and systems in the form of 3D-CAD and drawing production (2D and 3D)
  • Design in close collaboration with calculation, electrical/electronics, and software.
  • Participate in material selection and production methods
  • Participate in testing
  • Participate in the selection of suppliers
  • Be the technical support towards after-sales and production
  • Technical support towards the customer
  • Ensure that the development work is carried out according to the customer's routines and complies with applicable norms and standards
  • Quality-assure and technically review the development work against the original order
  • Participate in testing and commissioning
  • Perform risk and safety assessments/analyses

Education and Experience
  • University education in mechanical engineering
  • At least 3 years of work experience as a designer
  • Experience with CAD systems such as Creo, SolidWorks, Catia, Inventor, NX
  • You may have experience in designing products for personal and consumer use, as well as products for production and system solutions.
  • Experience in commissioning and close collaboration with, or work with electrical design is advantageous
