Aktiv Ortopedteknik in Sweden AB is one of Sweden's largest orthopedic technical facilities with clinics in 20 locations around Sweden. Together with Ottobock, we are one of the world's leading suppliers of orthopedic technology. We receive patients via referrals as well as private individuals in need of prostheses, orthoses, seating aids, orthopedic shoes, or insoles. In Varberg/Kungsbacka, a solution-oriented team of about 15 employees works. One of us is now on parental leave and we are looking for a substitute for her.

About the position

As a Licensed Orthopedic Engineer, your main task will be patient reception with fitting of all types of orthopedic technical aids. You will be involved in developing our business, which can range from our range to improving our processes. Your role includes collaborating with other healthcare professionals in the region, and you will also participate in our emergency services towards the hospital.

You will work in a dynamic environment characterized by deep knowledge and high professional pride. You will have a key role and be part of a committed and competent team where cooperation and knowledge exchange are central, and whose work aims to increase the quality of life for people by improving their mobility and independence. We work broadly across the entire field of orthopedic technology.

We offer

The position is a full-time temporary position until August 2026 located in Varberg. Part-time opportunities are available. Some work in Kungsbacka may occur. Working hours according to schedule, daytime. Access to the position is April 1, 2025, or by agreement. We have a collective agreement which means that you are covered by collectively agreed insurances. Travel for work may occur.

If you are a recent graduate of the Orthopedic Engineering program, you have the opportunity to participate in a 2-year trainee program with us. As an orthopedic engineer with us, you can also apply for a position in one of our competence teams.

About you

We are looking for someone who is a trained Licensed Orthopedic Engineer. Licensure and graduation from the Orthopedic Engineering program in Jönköping or equivalent are requirements for the application to be considered. An exception applies to those who are recent graduates and have not yet received licensure from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Experience working as an Orthopedic Engineer is advantageous. It is also advantageous if you have experience in prosthetic fitting and/or pediatric aid fitting. You have good computer skills and fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

In collaboration with others, you contribute knowledge and experience while being attentive and respectful and looking out for the group's best interests. You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure their completion. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work while meeting deadlines. When a problem arises, you focus your energy on finding solutions and maintain your focus on the goal.
