About Amalia Elderly Home

Amalia is a special accommodation located in the heart of Kristianstad, with good communication and proximity to the city's services. The accommodation has 36 places distributed over four floors, where each department accommodates nine residents. One of the departments is specifically adapted for individuals with dementia.

We work in interdisciplinary teams where you are always close to your colleagues. At Amalia, there are nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, janitors, food managers, team leaders, and managers – all with a common goal: to create a meaningful and safe everyday life for our residents, every day.

Job Description

We are looking for an engaged and licensed occupational therapist who wants to be part of our team at Amalia in Kristianstad. The position is at least 50%, with the possibility of extension.

As an occupational therapist with us, you play an important role in promoting the residents' independence, participation, and quality of life. You work closely with other professionals in an interdisciplinary team where we together create a safe and meaningful everyday life for our residents.

Your main responsibilities:

• Assess activity ability and need for assistive devices
• Design and follow up individual action plans
• Work with rehabilitative and preventive measures
• Guide and support nursing staff in promoting activity and participation
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other professional groups

You have a strong commitment to elderly care and a rehabilitative approach. We value good collaboration skills, flexibility, and a solution-focused attitude. Previous experience in elderly care, palliative care, and/or dementia is an advantage. Of course, you contribute to a positive work environment and share our values.

Requirements:

- Licensed occupational therapist

- Experience in elderly care is an advantage

- You have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

• Employment type: Permanent
• Extent: By agreement
• Working hours: Daytime Monday – Friday.
• Start date: By agreement
