Packaging Development Engineer

We are now looking for an engaged Packaging Development Engineer who enjoys working in an organization with drive and short decision-making paths. About the position

In the role of development engineer in packaging technology, you will be involved from idea to finished product! In various projects, you will develop and validate technical solutions in our packaging systems. You will have many points of contact with other departments in the organization. You will work closely with the production of packaging materials regarding trials of new products and troubleshooting problems that may arise. A large part of the work involves planning trials and creating test plans as well as evaluating the tests. Evaluation of our packaging systems mainly takes place in our fully equipped packaging laboratory as well as through machine tests. If necessary, you will also participate in tests in our customers' packaging machines, so business trips may occur.

You will be part of the packaging development team, which consists of other packaging engineers and specialists in areas such as material development and lab technicians who perform much of the testing we do. The group currently consists of 12 people and reports to the Packaging Development Manager.

The position is a parental leave cover for approximately 1 year starting as soon as possible in the spring of 2025, with a possibility of extension.

Your background

You have a relevant engineering degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or similar. Experience working with packaging or packaging materials is an advantage. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in the Office suite is required. Project management experience is also a merit.
