Our client is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join their team in Landskrona.

In this role, you will be responsible for quality assurance and testing of automated door products. You will design and execute automated tests on the door systems in their test lab. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software development, a good understanding of electronics, and experience in testing embedded software. You will also develop and maintain test cases and be part of the work to continuously improve testing methods, specifications, test platforms, and processes.

We are looking for a self-motivated and analytical person with high drive and a passion for product quality and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for quality assurance and testing of automated door products.
• Design and execute automated tests on door systems in the test lab.
• Develop and maintain test cases for continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Participate in the development of testing methods, specifications, and test platforms.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure that all features and systems are thoroughly tested.
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of electronics and product-related technologies.
• Communicate and document test results and analyses clearly.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in developing automated tests.
• Strong knowledge of writing C# and basic knowledge of Python.
• Broad experience in testing electromechanical products/systems with embedded software.
• Experience using Git, integrated development environments, and conducting code reviews.
• Knowledge of maintaining CD/CI pipelines.
• Basic understanding of electronics and the ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of product-related technologies such as CAN (Controller Area Network), BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), sensors, etc.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Experience using Jira and Confluence is a plus.

Preferred

• Experience using Vector tools, especially CANoe.
• Engineering degree (M, E, or D) and at least 5 years of broad testing experience.

The position is full-time. You will be employed as a consultant with us at Q and work on assignment for a client in Landskrona. This assignment is partially remote. There is an opportunity for placement in this assignment.
