We are now looking for a new operational assistant responsible for finance and administration. As an operational assistant, you will work with our outreach activities towards our members. You have a strong interest in budget work based on goal management as well as organizational work and see the meeting with the member as an inspiring part of your job. You will be involved in building a well-functioning union operation at the companies where our members work. Our operational area extends from Piteå to Kiruna.

Your tasks include workplace visits for contact with members and elected representatives. You will work with member recruitment and training. You should be comfortable informing about the value and significance of membership, both to recruit new members and to retain members who wish to leave. Your tasks include preparing materials, financial documentation, and other documents for the department board, much of your work will be done in consultation with the chief ombudsman. Your tasks also include conducting training for our members, and we provide specific training for this. The work involves not only office work but also a lot of outreach activities at workplaces within our area.

You will also have contacts with authorities, e.g., the employment agency and the social insurance agency, participate in phone duty, and administer the member and employer registry. The tasks also involve reviewing invoices.

We are looking for someone who has at least a three-year high school education or equivalent. You have good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office. Computer skills and experience in graphic design are advantageous. Experience in union work with outreach and member recruitment as well as work with insurance issues is also advantageous.

As a person, you are positive and efficient and enjoy working with other people. You have a good sense of service and approachability and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously. To thrive in this role, you also need to be structured and organized and enjoy working towards clearly defined goals. A driver's license and access to a car are prerequisites for the position.
