Your tasks

As a janitor at Ulleviskolan, you will be responsible for maintenance and repairs, light carpentry work, as well as moving and assembling furniture. Your tasks will also include fire safety work, locks and alarms, renting out premises, purchasing, and some invoice management. The distribution of work will be made by the manager based on the prevailing conditions, and you will be a support to the management and operations by providing good service within your area of work. We offer varied tasks that include daily contact primarily with staff and students, but also contacts with property managers, cleaning companies, guardians, and the public. We also want you to actively contribute to developing the janitor role, so that the operations become as efficient and purposeful as possible.

Your workplace

Ulleviskolan in Skäggetorp belongs to the north/west school area and is an adapted primary school for grades F-6. We share premises with the primary school and have a close collaboration to create a school for all.

We strive to meet each student based on their conditions. To create a desire to learn through individualized teaching and student influence. Our goal is for students to be involved and feel that they can influence their learning and learning environment, thereby strengthening themselves as individuals.

There is a need for a competent, curious, and goal-oriented janitor with us. We are now looking forward to the opportunity to have a motivated colleague join an already engaged staff group and together with you create a safe and accessible school environment for our students. With us, you will be part of an expedition team that has regular meetings to support and develop each other. You will also have the opportunity to build a good network with other janitors at our neighboring schools and preschools and work closely with the school's administrators.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who has a high school education with a practical focus or work experience that the employer deems relevant. Training in the field of safety is an advantage. You have experience in practical work such as property maintenance, preparing premises, maintenance and repairs, light carpentry work, and similar tasks. Lifting and some heavier tasks are included in the position. Previous experience as a janitor in a school is an advantage, as is experience in basic system administration and work with various types of IT environments and AV systems. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge in fire safety, locks and alarms, purchasing and invoice management, as well as work environment efforts. Experience in ICT regarding service and maintenance of our digital tools, as well as being accustomed to digital work in various municipal systems, is also advantageous.
