Professionals Nord is now launching, for the second time, an intensive training program in Signal Technology to educate the next generation of Signal Technicians, and you can be one of them! After the training, you are guaranteed employment with us and an assignment as a consultant at our client Strukton Rail for 18 months, with the intention and goal of continued employment at Strukton Rail provided that the collaboration has been successful.

Program Information

The training program is based on the Accelerated Learning method, which consists of shorter theoretical parts combined with practical elements to give you all the tools to succeed in the role. You will be trained in various technical and safety-related areas to work with the railway's signaling system. The training includes, among other things:

• Basic electricity
• Safety, standards, and regulations for railway work
• Signal technology
• Switches and track locks
• Cable laying
• Basic terms and symbols

You will undergo a free intensive training for 12 weeks, during which you will also receive a monthly training allowance (equivalent to CSN) to kickstart your new career as a signal technician!

Schedule:

Launch event: Week 11
Training period: March 17 - June 13, 2025
Training location: Stockholm & Ängelholm. Professionals Nord provides accommodation during training.
Internship dates: May 26 - June 2, 2025
First day at Strukton Rail Central: June 16, 2025
Duration: Full-time
Workplace after completing the training: Southern mainline including Norrköping & Mjölby

The training program is a close collaboration between Professionals Nord and Strukton Rail. After passing the exam, you will be employed by us at Professionals Nord, and during the first 18 months, you will work as a consultant at our client Strukton Rail. Provided that the collaboration has been successful, the goal and intention are continued employment at Strukton Rail. Job Information

Strukton Rail is a leading player in railway infrastructure, focusing on operation, maintenance, and modernization to create sustainable and safe transport solutions, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. You will work with Strukton Rail's operation and maintenance contract for Southern mainline 1, located near Norrköping, Mjölby, or Tranås. The work includes both preventive and corrective maintenance on platforms and track areas. You ensure that signals, switches, and other safety systems function correctly to guarantee safe and efficient train movements. The position involves outdoor work, and you will have varying working hours, mainly during the day and night, but also weekends and on-call duties may occur. You will work both independently and in pairs, focusing on maintaining the highest standards in a critical part of the railway infrastructure.

You will, among other things:

• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on the railway
• Repair faulty or worn components
• Perform preventive maintenance proactively
• Document and report on the work you have done

We are looking for someone who

• Is technically inclined and enjoys working outdoors and with hands-on tasks!
• Has passed tests (MAP & Matrigma)
• Has passed a health examination (Booked by PN for final candidates)
• Is at least 18 years old
• Has a B driver's license
• Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish
