We are looking for nursing assistants and care assistants for the Health, Care and Social Services Administration for hourly employment and temporary positions shorter than 6 months, both before, during, and after the summer.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for engaged and caring substitutes who are interested in working with the elderly to improve their daily lives and make it more meaningful. As a substitute in elderly care, you will be responsible for providing personal care, such as assistance with dressing, showering, and toilet visits. Cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry are also part of the job duties. Additionally, you will assist with medication distribution, support the elderly with outdoor activities, and organize various activities.

In addition to practical tasks, you are also expected to document events in our systems and maintain contact with relatives.

Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old before starting.
• You have a strong interest in people and service.
• Computer skills and the ability to document.
• Swedish language skills are necessary; multilingualism is an advantage.
• Cycling is a requirement for home care, and a driver's license may be an advantage.
• To work in short-term care, you need at least 2 years of prior experience in care and support.

As a person, you need to be able to adapt quickly to changes and see opportunities in new situations. You collaborate well with others, are attentive, and communicate clearly. You have the ability to understand others' perspectives and can empathetically handle others' feelings with a calm and friendly approach. You are committed to helping others and work to find solutions that meet their needs.

Working Hours

• Work shifts occur during the day, evening, and/or night.
• You are expected to work weekends in most of our operations.
• The summer period runs from week 22-35, but we also need substitutes before and after the summer.
• You need to be able to work at least 6 consecutive weeks during the summer period if you are interested in working during the summer.

Areas of Work and Shifts

• Home Care: Assistance in the home, which may include cooking, dressing, mobility assistance, shopping, and personal hygiene. You work independently and get around using a bike or car. In home care, you work weekdays and weekends, either during the day (07:00-15:30), evening (15:00-23:00), or night (22:00-07:30).
• Care and Nursing Home: Care and supervision in the form of personal hygiene, meal preparation, mobility assistance, cleaning, laundry, and activities. In our homes, you work weekdays and weekends, either day and evening (06:45-16:00 or 12:00-22:00) or night (20:45-07:15).
• Short-term Care: Rehabilitative work with medical interventions. In short-term care, you work weekdays and weekends, either day and evening (06:45-16:00 or 12:00-22:00) or night (20:45-07:15).

Criminal Record Check Requirement

When you apply for a job with us, we will ask you to present a certificate from the Police's criminal records. The certificate we want to see is called "Check of your own information in the criminal records".

Once you have received your certificate, you will then show it to the recruiting manager if you are called for an interview. Please note that the normal processing time with the police can be several weeks, so order the certificate now directly.
