Radiologic Nurse to Nuclear Medicine in Umeå

The Department of Imaging and Functional Medicine in Västerbotten operates extensive activities at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå, Skellefteå Hospital, and Lycksele Hospital, as well as at health centers in southern Lapland. The department is responsible for all types of imaging radiological examinations and treatments, including nuclear medicine, mammography, and advanced peripheral and neurointervention.

Nuclear medicine in Umeå is part of the regional clinic for Imaging and Functional Medicine. Within the unit, we work with both traditional nuclear medicine and PETCT.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a radiologic nurse with us, you will be responsible for patient care, handling radioactive isotopes, and administering injections of these. You will perform examinations, image management, and image quality control. The work is independent but is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues. The operations are mainly conducted during the day, but some evening shifts may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be a licensed radiologic nurse. You also need to have training in nuclear medicine and PETCT as part of your radiologic nursing education or have equivalent professional experience that the employer assesses as comparable. Experience in the profession is an advantage.
