Do you have ice in your veins and are as alert as a cobra? Then you could be my new star assistant!

I am 45 years old and live with my husband, son, and a tangled puppy in Huddinge, south of Stockholm. Most of the time, I live the best life in the world: with a villa, a Volvo, and work as a journalist, author, and speaker (and as a parent around the clock…)

But: Not even Madonna is anything without her makeup artists, songwriters, sound engineers, and backup dancers. And I, who am almost completely paralyzed after a riding accident, am entirely dependent on personal assistance for most things: like moving, eating, going to the bathroom – and packing my eleven-year-old's gym bag, flipping through the DN during the sacred morning coffee time, and touching up my mascara before a new concert with the choir I sing in.

A completely ordinary life, then, with a few extraordinary conditions. That’s where you come in!

You are the engine of my life. You are super-focused, attentive, meticulous – and you probably never give up, not even when the stone falls on your head. You will know how I want my makeup, my heating pads, and my shower water, as well as hear my tone when I am stressed, delighted, irritated with my husband, tired, and burdened by the ailments I am desperately trying to mask. Above all, you understand your own significance in helping me maintain my social roles – being a mother, wife, friend, colleague, and daughter. Among others.

However, you really don’t need to have worked in healthcare or similar fields. I don’t need any medical assistance. But you understand that the job is very physical!

Workdays will vary, so you need to be flexible. The most common is that we work in full-day shifts, 15 hours at a time (7-22 or 8-23), which corresponds to about 2-3 shifts a week for full-time. We will discuss the extent. And a driver’s license is a big plus! In that case, you will drive, and I will be the one flipping through the radio.
