Welcome to apply for a job as a licensed small animal veterinarian who also enjoys exotic animals. We are located in the university city of Linköping, Sweden's fifth largest municipality.

ABOUT US: ER VETERINÄR is a privately owned small animal clinic located in Linköping, Östergötland. Our vision is to work closely with our clients, where personal service and a good match are of utmost importance. We are looking for someone who is positive and engaged, with a genuine concern for both our patients and their owners. Since we are passionate about our work and value long-term relationships with our clients, it is important for us to find the right person.

We are open weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM and closed during evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Currently, our team consists of an experienced veterinarian (with 24 years of experience) and a level 2 animal caretaker (who will become level 3 in the spring of 2025). We also offer home visits, which our clients greatly appreciate. Therefore, it is an advantage if you have a driver's license, but it is not a requirement. We also have several interns from various agricultural high schools, so if you enjoy sharing your knowledge and experiences, that is a plus.

NEW PREMISES: In April 2025, we will move to new, fresh, and newly renovated premises, right next to our current clinic. We are moving from a smaller clinic of 69 sqm to a double-sized clinic of 141 sqm. We also have a storage room of about 30 sqm. To meet our growing needs, we are now looking for a new colleague to complement our team. In the future, we will invest in equipment such as X-ray, gas anesthesia, dental cleaning equipment with dental X-ray, ultrasound, etc. We have a loyal customer base and have been operating in the same location in Linköping for 17 years.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for a licensed veterinarian, preferably with experience in anesthesia, surgery, and X-ray, but we also welcome newly graduated veterinarians. We are affiliated with Green Employers and have a collective agreement. Since our clinic is relatively small, we rotate between different tasks, and since we treat many different species, the tasks may vary. Experience is an advantage but not a requirement – we are happy to provide training and support to help you feel confident in your work.

Employment type: Permanent position. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

Driver's license: An advantage, but not a requirement

Before the interview: Proof that you are a Swedish licensed veterinarian and an ID document should be brought to the interview.
