Who is our son?

Our son is a 3-year-old boy who is cheerful and social. He enjoys being in different contexts and experiencing various things. He loves to engage in activities but is significantly limited in what he can do independently.

He has a multi-functional disability and therefore requires a lot of assistance. He has a severe CP injury and needs help with breathing. As one of his assistants, you are an important part of his life to help him develop and experience the world.

Job Description

As his assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring his breathing, tube feeding, and administering medication, as well as being a safe point in his exploration of the world. He loves to engage in activities but cannot play alone, so you need to enjoy playing with children and be creative.

Our son requires assistance around the clock with awake night shifts. Currently, we have two positions available:

• Night Assistant, approx. 31 hours/week, i.e., 80% (temporary), including weekends
• Day Assistant, approx. 27 hours/week, i.e., just over 65%, including weekends

We are looking for someone who wants to enable his daily life and be with him. For night shifts, this means watching over him and managing food, medications, and equipment care, etc. For day shifts, it means being with him at preschool and supporting his supervision there while being responsible for his well-being.

It is important that you are responsible, can take initiative, and follow the routines in place for his care. You should be aware that he is part of our family and that you will work closely with the entire family.

We live in Kallhäll, and your shifts will start and end at home.

Requirements

• Experience working with children is an advantage.
• You need to speak fluent Swedish and be able to understand and communicate easily in speech and writing.
• You must be smoke-free as he has breathing difficulties.
• A driver's license for a manual car is an advantage.

Employment is ongoing. We conduct introductory training for all assistants.
