General Dentist in Pedodontics at Folktandvården Skåne in Lund

We are now looking for a general dentist to join our clinic in Lund.

The clinic is one of Sweden's largest specialist clinics, receiving patients of all ages and offering a wide range of dental expertise, from counseling to advanced multidisciplinary specialist dental care. In addition to patient care, we conduct research, education, and supervision. A team of over 70 people works here within the specialties of periodontology, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pedodontics. The pedodontics department currently has two specialist dentists, one resident dentist, one dental hygienist, and three dental assistants. The clinic is located right next to the train station, providing excellent commuting opportunities.

Responsibilities

As a general dentist specializing in pedodontics, you will independently perform patient treatments but closely collaborate with colleagues. Your responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, and treating patients referred to the clinic. There is ample opportunity for exchanging experiences with other specialties, providing you with unique opportunities for development and deepened knowledge. The pedodontics specialty involves dental care for children and adolescents with special needs, such as various types of disabilities, rare health conditions, syndromes, neuropsychiatric disorders (autism, ADHD), communication difficulties, severe somatic diseases, or extensive dental care needs, such as complex dental trauma injuries, pathological conditions in jaws and soft tissues, severe dental developmental disorders combined with pronounced dental fear, and/or extensive cooperation difficulties. Dental treatment under anesthesia at Trelleborg Hospital is part of the pedodontics service.

Qualifications

You are a skilled and experienced general dentist with Swedish licensure and proficiency in Swedish equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school level or Swedish C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. Furthermore, you have basic computer skills and preferably experience working with systems used in dentistry. We offer training in the Alfa eCare Clinics journal system. Experience in specialist dental care, especially pedodontics, is advantageous.
