Vallda Parish is one of three parishes in Särö Parish – A versatile and active parish by the sea in Kungsbacka municipality, just under half an hour from Gothenburg.

We believe that the church and community have a powerful role to play in people's individual and collective lives.

As a host/hostess, you will mainly work with planning, purchasing, cooking, and cleaning.

You have a knack for creating a fun and open environment that makes people feel welcome. You will plan, purchase, and cook for our appreciated Thursday lunches, our leisure home during school breaks, and confirmation groups, as well as assist in our larger events. Evening and weekend work may occur occasionally. You clean and create a pleasant atmosphere in the parish house. We are a team with good cooperation, open communication, and a positive atmosphere.

We are looking for someone who is service-minded, positive, driven, creative, and organized! You easily make new contacts, see opportunities, and work long-term. We hope that you can work both persistently and independently, but also have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and volunteers.

You are secure in your faith and naturally share the values of the Church of Sweden regarding an open and inclusive attitude towards people's differences, regardless of faith, religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Requirements:

Membership in the Church of Sweden.

Driver's license (B). If you also have access to a car, that's a plus.

You have computer skills and can understand and express yourself in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing.

Experience from similar work in a parish and church is meritorious, as well as having relevant education/experience for the position.

Employment conditions:

Full-time position during the day, with work some evenings and weekends per year.

The position is a study substitute that runs for six months at a time with the possibility of permanent employment. Salary according to collective agreement. Planned start in May 2025.
