About the position

As a consultant in stormwater and hydrology, you will play a key role in developing solutions for the future of water and wastewater management. You will lead projects and investigations in water and stormwater management, from planning and design to implementation and follow-up. Your expertise will contribute to creating solutions that are not only sustainable and cost-effective, but also tailored to each customer's specific needs.

The role involves close contact with customers where you are responsible for understanding and meeting their requirements and expectations, while guiding them through all phases of the project. In this role, you will be part of a competent and collaborative team of 4 people, where innovation and creativity are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up of projects in stormwater management and water planning.
• Analyze and evaluate data to develop sustainable and cost-effective solutions for the customer's specific needs.
• Compile investigation results and create clear and informative reports for customers and other stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, understand their requirements and needs, and provide advice and guidance throughout the project's various phases.
• Use GIS tools like Scalgo to visualize data and support decision-making processes.
• Ensure that projects are kept within timeframes and budgets, and coordinate with other team members and subcontractors.
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute insights and ideas to promote innovation and quality in project work.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A college or university degree in environmental science, hydrology, water planning, or civil engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in stormwater investigations, water planning, or similar fields.
• Technical skills with a good command of GIS tools for data analysis and map visualizations are prioritized.

Desirable qualifications for the role include:

• Experience in design and investigation for community development projects, preferably in the consulting industry or public sector.
