ABOUT THE POSITION:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable and safe society by managing and developing the environmental and chemical work related to Saab's products. You will work closely with various functions within the company to ensure that environmental requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle – from development and procurement to use and disposal. Your main tasks will include:

• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on activities to support project environmental goals and ensure compliance with product environmental requirements.
• Interpret and apply environmental and chemical legislation, primarily REACH and CLP.
• Collaborate with chemistry and environmental functions across different parts of the business.
• Handle issues related to chemicals and prepare environmental and chemical documentation for customers.
• Drive change to replace materials and chemical products with more environmentally friendly alternatives.
• Report hazardous substances according to legal requirements.
• Collaborate with various functions in the organization both nationally and internationally.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in materials/mechanical engineering, chemistry with environmental focus, or equivalent
• Knowledge of environmental and chemical legislation, especially REACH and CLP.
• Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written as both languages are used daily
• A strong interest in product-related environmental issues and a desire to contribute your expertise to a safer world.

Merits for the role include if you have:

• Experience working with environmental and chemical issues in production, procurement, or development.
• Knowledge of international environmental standards and statutory reporting.
• Experience in change management, such as replacing chemicals with more environmentally friendly alternatives.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This position requires that you undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where our client has requirements for security classification placement, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for specific citizenship.

This is a consultancy assignment, which means that initially you will be employed by Friday. The collaboration is long-term, and there is a possibility of permanent employment with the client company in the future.
