Schedevi Psychiatry is a privately owned family business that has been offering support, full-time care, and accommodation for adults with mental health disorders and comorbidity since 1942.

We provide a wide range of care with personal assistance, social and physical training, as well as support in individual development. We have several well-established facilities and are located in Östergötland, Västergötland, and now also a newly started facility in Småland.

About Us

At Östhamra in Rydaholm, there are a total of four departments with about 32 places. We have started the first department with eight places and have permission to provide housing according to the Social Services Act. The focus of these eight places is housing with special services for adults with mental health disorders who require more extensive support than can be provided in regular housing.

As a new employee, you will receive an introduction and internal training through the “Schedevi Academy” in the company. This is to enable a safe and good start with us. The company is keen to provide all employees with opportunities for competence development through supervision, training, and peer learning. The goal of the “Schedevi Academy” is to ensure well-educated and competent staff who enjoy their work, are motivated, and feel involved.

Rydaholm is located in Jönköping County and has good commuting distances to Växjö 32 km, Ljungby 29 km, Alvesta 18 km, and Värnamo 27 km. Östhamra is located close to the train station, only a few minutes' walk away.

Responsibilities

Your role as a caregiver is to provide support and care to our clients in their daily lives together with other colleagues in the team. You work as a contact person for a client, which involves responsibility for planning and follow-up, as well as documentation of the client's implementation plan with the support of the company's coordination function. You also have regular contact with the client's placement agent and legal guardian.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for candidates with education as a caregiver/nursing assistant but also welcome those with other education focusing on care and/or pedagogy.

You should have experience working with people with psychiatric problems and have a strong interest and commitment to the target group. You need to be able to meet a group with a complex problem and possibly challenging behavior. It is important that you have good teamwork skills and the ability to communicate well internally and externally. You have basic computer skills and documentation experience. You should have good knowledge of the English language and be able to express yourself well both verbally and in writing.

We consider it a merit if you have knowledge and experience of working from a low arousal approach.

Conditions

We offer permanent positions. Day and evening shifts or night shifts including weekend work.

Salary by agreement. B driver's license is a requirement. Union representative available. Entry by agreement.
