The Service Management, Food, and Cleaning department offers an independent and varied work in kitchens and cleaning where you can work at various workplaces and develop. If you work with kitchens and cleaning in Varberg Municipality, you are in an organization where we put service and the customer at the center. In the role of a cook, your duties include preparing and serving good and nutritious meals. In our kitchens, you cook food from scratch, have seasonal menus, and actively work to reduce food waste. It should be fun to go to work, and we are looking for someone who can bring joy and has the desire to do a good job!

We are now looking for a cook for Södertulls kitchen. Work within the entire Food and Cleaning department may occur.

Job Duties

The duties include, among others:

Cooking from scratch
Baking
Prepare breakfast and snacks adapted for the elderly
Cook special diets and texture-modified food
Try new working methods, products, and recipes
Self-check for the kitchen
Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning
Orders via digital e-commerce

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is positive, has a sense of service and responsibility beyond the ordinary, and enjoys working with people. You are a driven person who is solution-oriented and contributes with innovative thinking and inspiration. You have a genuine interest in food and a great passion for cooking from scratch with the customer in focus. You should be good at collaborating with others and not be afraid to contact guests, staff, and other customers as you are our face outward. You need to be able to master the Swedish language in speech and writing because reading and following recipes, routines, and instructions, as well as communicating with colleagues, clients, and food guests, are part of the mission.

We see that you have some relevant education or experience in the field such as:

Chef training with the ability to handle special diets
You should have several years of experience in the chef profession
Good computer skills are required as we work with electronic commerce and food data programs
HACCP training
Driver's license B

You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and share our values where equality and diversity perspectives are natural parts.
