About the Hotel

Scandic Visby is ideally located to explore the medieval city or venture out into the countryside by car. A lovely hotel with a resort feel, where the rooms are divided into different buildings. Our restaurant is open year-round serving breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening, with menus tailored to the season. During the summer, we open our delightful outdoor terrace with a pool, and for those who want to swim year-round, we offer the warm jacuzzi under the open sky. What Does the Role of Receptionist Entail?

As a receptionist, you are responsible for providing our guests with world-class service. You are the spider in the web ensuring that the guest is always the focus. You go through the arrival list and pay attention to details. You make sure the guest's requests are met. You always have a smile on your face and a creative solution up your sleeve. You can handle most situations and are excellent at turning an unhappy guest into a satisfied one. Your workplace is our lobby because that's where you meet most guests. The responsibilities also include administrative work, security work, and sales work.

Working at the reception involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing them with the information they need for their stay. You manage bookings in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks related to guests and security. All work is done with guest satisfaction and sales in focus.

Since the work largely involves communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement. Speaking an additional language is a plus. To work at the reception, you need to be at least 20 years old.

However, your personal qualities and attitude are most important. To fit into the role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and overall results. It is a plus if you have some form of education in Hotel Management.

Information About the Position

The position is a seasonal part-time employment of about 70-80%. We have a long season in Visby and prefer if you are available from April/May and can work until September/October.

The hotel is open 24/7 every day of the week. You will work in shifts, morning and evening shifts, weekdays, and weekends. Night shifts may occur.
