About the Hotel

Scandic Visby is ideally located to explore the medieval town or venture out into the countryside by car. A lovely hotel with a resort feel, where the rooms are divided into different buildings. Our restaurant is open year-round serving breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening, with menus tailored to the season. During the summer, we open our delightful outdoor terrace with a pool, and for those who wish to swim year-round, we offer the warm jacuzzi under the open sky.

What does the role of Chef entail?

Here, you have a very important task at the hotel by ensuring a world-class guest experience when it comes to our food and beverage environments. Your main tasks are to plan, prepare, and cook food, as well as present the food in an appealing manner. You also support and help the team in other parts of the hotel when needed.

Who are you?

To fit into the role, you need to have a passion for food and be attentive to details and guests' individual needs. You appreciate order and tidiness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. All to provide our guests with a fantastic dining experience. For this position, we require that you have completed a chef education or acquired equivalent skills in another way. Personal qualities and attitude are most important for this recruitment. To fit into the role, you need to be a good team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey a good hostmanship to the hotel's guests.

Information about the position:

The position is a seasonal employment at about 80-100% (may vary by season). We have a long season, and it is an advantage if you can start in April/May and work until Sep/Oct.

We are open every day, and the position involves shifts in the afternoon/evening. A rotating schedule where you work both weekdays and weekends.
