About the Hotel

Scandic Visby is located in the best starting point for exploring the medieval city or heading out to the countryside by car. A lovely hotel with a resort feel, where the rooms are divided into different buildings. Our restaurant is open year-round where we serve breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening, with menus tailored to the season. During the summer, we open our lovely outdoor terrace with an outdoor pool, and for those who want to swim all year round, we offer the hot tub under the open sky.

Those of us who work here focus on a personal, friendly, and welcoming approach to our guests, of course, but also towards each other. We always focus on our common work and come together where needed. By being a team that works with a lot of inspiration and joy, we create fantastic hotel experiences for our guests.

What does the role of Cook entail?

Here, you have a very important task at the hotel by ensuring a world-class guest experience when it comes to our food and beverage environments. Your main tasks are to plan, prepare, and cook food, as well as to present the food in an appealing way. You also support and help the team in other parts of the hotel when needed.

Who are you?

To fit into the role, you need to have a burning interest in food and be attentive to details and guests' individual needs. You appreciate order and tidiness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. All to give our guests a fantastic dining experience. For this position, we want you to have completed a chef education or acquired equivalent skills in another way. Personal qualities and attitude are most important for this recruitment. To fit into the role, you need to be a good team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey a good hospitality to the hotel's guests.

Information about the position:

The position is a seasonal employment at about 80-100% (may vary depending on the season). We have a long season, and it is an advantage if you can start in April/May and work until Sep/Oct.

We are open every day, and the position involves shifts in the afternoon/evening. A rotating schedule where you work both weekdays and weekends.
