About the Hotel

Scandic Visby is located in the best starting point to explore the medieval city or venture out into the countryside by car. A lovely hotel with a resort feel, where the rooms are divided into different buildings. Our restaurant is open year-round where we serve breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening, with menus tailored to the season. During the summer, we open our lovely outdoor terrace with an outdoor pool, and for those who want to swim all year round, we offer the hot tub under the open sky. Those of us who work here focus on a personal, friendly, and welcoming approach to our guests, of course, but also towards each other. What Does the Role of Night Receptionist Entail?

As a receptionist, you are responsible for ensuring that our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web that ensures the guest is always the focus. You are the one who goes through the arrival list and pays attention to details. Ensures that the guest's requests are met. You always have a smile on your face and a creative solution up your sleeve. You solve most things and are a star at turning an unhappy guest into a satisfied guest. Your workplace is our lobby. Because that's where you meet most guests. The area of responsibility also includes administrative work, cash management, security work, and sales work.

The work involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing the information they need about their stay. You handle bookings in the Opera Cloud system and manage administrative tasks related to guests and security. All work is done with guest satisfaction and sales in focus.

Who Are You?

To fit into the role, you must enjoy working at night and preferably have experience with it from before. You should appreciate working alone and feel comfortable with it. You have a well-developed social ability and are capable of handling many different things happening at the same time. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel's guests. You also have experience and knowledge of working with a computer as a tool.

Since the work largely involves communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement. Speaking an additional language is a merit.

As we have multiple facilities, it is a requirement that you have a driver's license. And that you are at least 20 years old. The duties include patrolling our facilities. So it is important that you are a confident and stable person who can work independently at night.

Most importantly, however, are your personal qualities and your attitude, and that you enjoy working at night. To fit into the role, you need to be a receptive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is a merit if you have some form of education in Hotel.

Information About the Position

The position is a seasonal employment of about 25-30 hours per week during weeks 26-32. With the possibility of extra hours before and after. The working hours will be between 23:00-07:00 on a rolling schedule.
